Ashford now makes a new flyer for the Ashford Traditional,
Ashford traveller and Ashford Elizabeth with a sliding guide instead of
hooks. Awesome for producing novelty yarns, as the bulky threads
don't get caught on the hooks. It available for both the regular

Ashford knitters loom is my favorite for quick weaving.
It takes me 3 days to warp my floor loom but only 30 minutes to
warp the knitters loom. In fact, in the time it takes me to
measure a warp on my warping mill, I can be weaving on the knitters
loom. The knitters loom sits, folded in a 4 inch box beside the
couch, when not in use -- so it hardly takes up any space. And
for weaving its fiddle-free, so you can focus on creativity.
Every thing you need to begin weaving, except yarn, is included
in the box.
My 12 year old daughter opened our first knitters loom as soon as we
had it home from the post office and was weaving her first scarf before
I had dinner ready an hour later. That scarf was finished before
her bedtime and she hasn't stopped weaving -- she's 15 now. She
has woven tapestries, scarves, placemats -- for herself, for gifts, for
science fair projects, and for sale at craft fairs. She's used
rags, her own handspun yarn and our mill spun yarn, as well as cotton
and linen yarns. Now she's interested in learning to warp the
floor loom.
The Knitter's loom now has a double heddle kit, allowing you to weave
