Hummingbirds are delicate creatures, full of beauty, and grace.  Their quick shimmering colours and graceful movement bring joy in the peak of summer.  As they drink nectar from blossoms, they increase fruitfulness by pollinating.
Like the colours from the woad plant, they are a picture of sustainable beauty and delicate balance in an unstable world that is losing its balance.
